Pulse Train Limited have announced the first implementation of XtabML, a new XML standard for the representation of survey cross-tab reports, designed for Pulse Train by Computable Functions

Iain MacKay will be presenting a paper "Publishing Survey Results with XML Tables" at the ESOMAR Technovate meeting in Barcelona, Feb 1-3 2004.

Technovate is ESOMAR's annual "Worldwide Market Research Technology and Innovation Conference & Exhibition"

Iain's paper describes practical experience in the application of XML technology for publishing survey reports in rich formats such as charts and spreadsheets.

Geoff Wright presented a paper triple-s: managing success at the UK Association for Survey Computing (ASC) Conference in September. The subject of the conference was "The impact of technology on the survey process". Geoff's paper describes the challenges presented in the quest to satisfy the growing number of users and implementors of the triple-s standard.
